Welcome to Hyde Park Cats!

Looking to get involved in a great organization dedicated to cat rescue? We are a confederation of volunteers working in and around Chicago’s Hyde Park to help cats and kittens in need. We received our 501©(3) status in 2014 and have had over 700 adoptions since our founding in 2008.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook for all the latest and greatest!

If you are interested in ADOPTING, check out our up-to-date photo page of our available cats and kittens here: http://hydeparkcats.org/adopt/ All of our adoptable kitties live in loving foster homes. For more information, including our adoption application, please contact us at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com For more on our adoption policies, see our information page here: http://hydeparkcats.org/available/

If you are interested in FOSTERING, read more about the benefits of fostering on our page here: http://hydeparkcats.org/fostering-cats/ and contact us at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com to apply. We always need fosterers — more fosterers means helping more cats — and every person who fosters for us makes a difference in saving a life, or several!

If you are interested in DONATING, THANK YOU for helping us do what we do! We gladly accept donations through our pay pal account (link in upper right hand of this page). We also welcome donations of food, litter, toys, scratching posts, etc. Open bags ok! If you have something to donate, contact hydeparkcats@gmail.com or “contact us” through this page and we will coordinate with you.

If you are interested in VOLUNTEERING, we’d love to hear from you. We are a 100% volunteer organization, and we always need new volunteers to help out at events, transport cats to the vet, post flyers, and many other essentials tasks of cat rescue. We organize adoption events, bake sales, calendar sales, cat shelter visits, and much more. To find out more about how to volunteer, email us at hydeparkcats@gmail.com and keep an eye out for upcoming events on facebook.

Thank you for your support!

Sweet Paulie

paulie paulie1

Paulie is an older guy who lived a rough life on the streets. He has been through alot but is adjusting well to being an inside kitty. He is a calm & gentle big ginger kitty that just wants to chill and get head scratches. He is still shy, but his fosterer works with him everyday to help him gain his confidence. He lived in a colony with many cats and would probably love to have a feline friend.

No crazy kitty here – such a calm and mellow boy. He is happy to just have warm beds, good food and a few head scratches. He falls asleep listening to stories and music; spending time with Paulie is always a relaxing end to the day.

To meet sweet Paulie please write to us at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com !

Sweet Costello

Costello is a new kid on the HPC block. He is about 11 months old and fully vetted with a clean bill of health.

He has a very sweet and friendly personality although he shook when he was taken to the vet coz it was scary … (we’re sorry for that Costello but it’s long term gain for short term pain!)

Let us know if you’d like to meet him at hydeparkcatsadoptions@gmail.com !
